  1. I don't think that eating habits have changed in French because the cooking is very traditional since a long time in French. Consequently, I would say that eating habits are stay the same.

    1. Hi Kevin,
Thank you for your comment. In a way it doesn't surprise me that eating habits haven't changed in France as they have always been so good and inspirational for other countries.

  2. I think in my home country which is Libya eating habits have changed significantly, the Libyans nowadays tend to eat fast food rather than eating at home, in my town for example there are lots of restaurants and everyday a new one opens.

    1. Hi Wissam,
Thanks for your comment. That's interesting to read about the changes in your country as I've always thought Libya is a conservative country, i.e. keeps its traditions. I wonder whether it has something to do with the influence from the UK and America influence. It will be interesting to read what Sumaya has to say...

  3. In Indonesia eating habits is starting to change. We used to have traditional Indonesian food. But, in the past years, a lot of foods from overseas start to come in. So, we eat some traditional food but we are okay with foods from overseas too.

  4. Actually I think it changed to some extent. In Libya where I come from, numerous and varied dishes are added to our daily meal. Take one example, pizza, the famouse Italian food is now well known food in our meals especially in occasions such as wedding and birthdays parties. Furthermore, more cafes, restaurants and fast food restaurants are bult and founded over the last ten years. However, traditional food is still number one in all our social events such as wedding, having baby week, having guests, festivals, .....ect. So eating habits are changed by adding more different meals but traditional food is still on the top precisely in Ghat where I brought up.

  5. In my opinion, eating habits in Oman changed little bit because , still till now people eat fresh food and traditional food. As well, some people eat less fast food and processed food .

  6. Actually, there are many things changing around the world in the last two decades especially in people’s dietary system. In Oman, we used to eat in our homes because of our traditions in the past. The vast majority of women used to prepare food for their children who were gathering in meals time. On the other hand, nowadays many families depend on the restaurants for providing meals for their children because most of the women become counterpart and work in all sectors. Moreover, there were few cafes and restaurants 20 years ago and most of them were in the capital of Oman. As a result, many people used to eat at home. However, this situation has changed because of lifestyle and globalization. If you come to my country now, you will see many fast food restaurants. Furthermore, lots of commercials encourage people to try fast food and attract them to eat outside home.
