I think that the most important thing to have in order to get money from the Dragons is a very good idea, but a good idea is not enough. When you get into the den you need to represent your idea in a very business like fashion. You will need to show that the product is useful and give some projections of the turnover for the product. It is also very useful to have patents or trademark of your products. Besides the product you also have to show that you believe in your own product, that you have the necessary skills to run a business and to get them to believe in you. They need to believe that they can work with you, since they are not just offering a pile of money but both money and a partnership in your company. So your personality is also extremely important.
ReplyDeleteI think is important to persuade the judges and know how to sell the product. The first thing judges will notice is how a natural investor you are, how much is your enthusiastic, how much you want them to approve your product.
ReplyDeleteAlso is important who much is your percent to share, a good Dragons den seller have to know that the amount he is receiving and the amount he is giving to the Dragons judges has to be proportional, because they are helping the product to get sell, that is a helpful way for entrepreneurs to start a new business, also in a long term look for patent the new product so nobody can have the same product as you.

ReplyDeleteGetting money from the Dragons is not easy, you have to have a good project and turnover. In addition to a good way to present your project to persuade the Dragons . To be add the Dragons mentor the entrepreneurs and give them money and the support to start their own project
First of all, when you pitch your product, you should show them how your product works. That means to show them how the product is unique and the market that it could sell in real. Next, you should also give them the figure that you project profit and how much they will get from the share if this business is run. You have to be careful that the offer is suitable when it compare to the capital and the price. Finally, you should prepare another offer to them in case that they might be dissatisfied and declare them out
